BOAC, Marinduque (PIA) -- The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Marinduque Provincial Office gathered and held an orientation for 40 aspiring interns under the Government Internship Program (GIP) at Marinduque Convention Center, Bangbangalon, Boac, Marinduque on Friday, September 15.
Ken Aldrin Jalac, focal person for employment facilitation, facilitated the orientation focusing on the objectives of the program and work ethics in the government to prepare them in the field of public service. They will be deployed to various national agencies in the province and each will receive P355 per day as stipend.
Apart from the allowance, they will also be provided with accident insurance under GSIS and will be issued a certificate of completion at the end of internship.
The first batch of GIP orientation were selected from the pool of applicants who submitted documentary requirements and underwent the interview process on the recently concluded GIP Hiring last September 7-8, 2023 at Marinduque State College Gymnasium, Tanza, Municipality of Boac.
Over 300 applicants underwent the process of selection, 241 young individuals in total were hired and remaining 201 interns are scheduled to undergo the GIP Orientation and signing of MOA this month. (KKB/DOLE Marinduque)
